Prior permits: SENACSA, SENAVE and DINAVISA
Frontanilla Estudio Aduanero handles the prior permits that DINAVISA, SENAVE and SENACSA require to import or export certain products, through the Importer Single Window (VUI), integrated into the DNIT's SOFIA system.
What it includes
- Identifying which agency is involved, based on the product and its tariff code.
- Preparing and filing the application through the VUI.
- Follow-up until approval, before the cargo arrives.
- Coordination of sanitary or phytosanitary certificates for exports.
Who controls what
- DINAVISA (Law 6788/2021): health products, medical devices, cosmetics and household cleaning products. Since January 2025 also food, after Law 7361/2024 transferred the former INAN's functions.
- SENAVE (Law 2459/04): plant products, seeds, fertilisers and plant-protection products.
- SENACSA (Law 2426/04): products and by-products of animal origin and veterinary inputs.
If the permit is requested once the cargo is already in the warehouse, the goods wait, and waiting costs money. That is why we check it before shipment.
